Uniformed Loss Prevention Security Officer

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a Uniformed Loss Prevention Security Officer.

Job Purpose:

This role entails working for the loss prevention department as a Uniformed Loss Prevention Security Officer at our Croydon Store.

You will be deployed to our high-risk stores to identify, deter, disrupt, and apprehend offenders for theft, while always being professional when dealing with conflict. The work of the Uniformed officer is crucial in the identification, apprehension, and prosecution of criminals who target our stores.

You will also support your Security Team Leader by providing training, and development to our retail colleagues in Loss Prevention activity and department objectives.

Accountabilities:
  • Deployed to a high-risk store to identify, deter, disrupt, and apprehend theft offenders.
  • Utilize CCTV at a podium monitoring station.
  • Generate detailed incident reports and collate evidence to support criminal prosecutions.
  • Loss Prevention Champion for the store - conducting communication briefings and training to support stores.
  • Building relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • A subject matter expert for security initiatives.
  • Always adhere to company policies and guidelines.

Salary, Hours, and Requirements
  • Full-time permanent contract, 44 hours per week
  • Must be fully flexible working 5 days out of 7 (early/late/weekend essential to the role)
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, standing post.
