Reporting & Analytics Analyst

As a Reporting & Analytics Analyst you will focus on the operation, development, and co-ordination of Oak Pensions Asset Management (OPAM) reporting activities to both internal and external stakeholders. The role will help OPAM deliver on behalf of the UK Retirement Fund, the increasingly sophisticated and complex requirements of portfolio management, stakeholder and regulatory reporting (and develop the analytics that underpin them) particularly in relation to Performance, Risk, Liquidity and Responsible Investment.

 

The role will be exposed to the complete breadth of UK Retirement Fund asset classes, strategies, and regions. Being part of the wider OPAM Team and its institutional investment process, the successful candidate will benefit from exposure to (and will be expected to contribute to) the Team’s portfolio risk, analytics and reporting activities, investment strategy, transactions and idea generation, plus operational/implementation processes.

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent excel skills and any experience with computer programming languages including VBA or Python would be advantageous. You should have an interest in financial markets with a knowledge of multi asset management. The successful candidate should be comfortable manipulating big data sets and automating processes.

Purpose of the role

To provide portfolio management and structuring capabilities implementing investment solutions for client transactions in a fund or other bespoke structure.

 

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of investment management strategies, considering market conditions, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
  • Management and monitoring of investment portfolios in line with investment objectives, including making asset allocation decisions to optimise returns and minimise risks.
  • New product design and origination pipeline contribution through market research, assessment of client demand/needs and in collaboration with sales, structuring and other specialist teams.
  • Partnering with other Markets Sales and Distribution teams to define pipeline activity to raise assets in existing funds.
